"I'm afraid that she is correct," Krystiana said, looking to the older man that was once Leena's husband, "She never showed interest in Missy. Only Quin."
The Dathomiri woman's pale gray eyes passed up to Syal's amythyst ones, and she stared for a long quiet moment as she decided whether or not there was any information she could truly offer these people. Korto had told her everything, even the things the Leena had omitted because in her memory, her daughter's mistakes had been so heartbreaking.
She could see the confusion and discomfort in the Jedi woman's features as the two simply watched on another. Taking in a deep breath in, Krystiana sighed it out softly and finally began speaking.
"Korto is well. He is strong, he is cunning. He makes a fine mate," she answered, "He and your mother take very good care of the children. They love them unconditionally."

Syal nodded in quiet acceptance as her heart broke a little more. If that was all the woman was going to give her than she'd need to be content with it.
Unconditional love. It was something she'd never experienced from her mother. Nor had Asori, not really. Her elder sister had gained the privilage of their mother's thin approval but her unconditional love was something only Korto could bost of. Korto the golden son who could do no wrong. The family's ticket back to greatness, in her eyes the son who could make the name Vos more reveired than Skywalker. Unconditional love, but unconditional pressure. That's what Korto had resieved growing up. That's what had twisted him. And that's what she was terrified Leena was doing to her son.

"They may love the children unconditionally, but if they truly cared wouldn't they want them to be with their parents?"
Mikael let that sink in. If it was one thing the three of them shared it was their want...no need to see their children. What he didn't expect at the beginning of the day was finding out that Quin and Missy had a cousin, one that was also in the custody of Leena.
"Krystiana there has to be a way that all of us can get our children back. Leena might be caring for them but she isn't their mother."

Krystiana's gaze shifted to Mikael, feeling the strength of his and Syal's pain and conviction buzzing deeply through the Force. These people were not only feeling something very real, something that she was all too familiar with, but they were allowing themselves to be completely unguarded with their emotions. It shocked her, unnerved her, as someone being so used to retaining an almost regal composure. She couldn't help but be swayed by the emotion at it's most basic level - the love and concern for their offspring. It felt different than what she could feel from Leena Korto, but it was no less intense. She knew that she had to tread lightly, however.
"I do understand your sentiment, Grand Master. Given the fact that you are all now much more aware of my presence here, and the circumstances for it, there is really no reason to continue any covert operation. I cannot, however, lead you directly to what you seek. I would be willing to facilitate a dialogue with Leena, but you have to understand that I cannot simply return your child to you, with my own's safety hanging in the balance. If you have any guidance to offer, I am willing to listen, but you must know that I will not risk Korto or my child if your intentions are anything less than honorable."
At the moment, Krystiana knew that a very least, Koreena was a factor that would keep their negotiations sincere. They were all fighting for the same common good; they just happened to be a part of two separate clans.
